The Cake Content Coach takes the privacy of your information very seriously.

Data collected

I may collect the following Data, which includes personal Data, from you:

a) name
b) contact information such as email addresses and telephone numbers
c) payment information, for the purposes of processing membership payments
d) content you share within the membership, such as posts in the Facebook group, Circle community, or comments on live sessions

in each case, in accordance with this privacy policy.

How we collect Data

I will collect your Data in a number of ways, for example:

a) when you contact me through the website, social media, email or through any other means
b) when you make payments to me
c) when you sign up to receive marketing communications from me
d) when you join or use the Caker's Content Kitchen membership, including the Facebook group
e) when you fill in a form

Our use of Data

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases I rely on for processing this information are:

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. I don't store your full card details myself, Stripe handles that in line with its own privacy policy.

I will not share your information with anyone beyond what's needed to run the service, such as the payment and platform providers named in this policy.

Keeping Data Secure

All information I hold is securely stored in a password protected file, or within the platforms used to run the membership and process payments, including MailerLite, Squarespace, Facebook, and Stripe.

I keep your name, contact details and payment records for 6 months following the end of your membership or your last order with me. I will then dispose of your information by deleting it from my files, except where I'm required to keep certain records for longer for tax purposes.

Even if I delete your Data, it may persist on backup or archival media for legal, tax or regulatory purposes.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access. You have the right to ask me for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification. You have the right to ask me to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask me to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure. You have the right to ask me to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing. You have the right to ask me to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability. You have the right to ask that I transfer the information you gave me to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.

Changes to this privacy policy

The Cake Content Coach reserves the right to change this privacy policy as I may deem necessary from time to time or as may be required by law. Any changes will be immediately posted on the website and you are deemed to have accepted the terms of the privacy policy on your first use of the website following the alterations.

How to complain

If you would like to make a complaint related to GDPR please contact me directly with details of the issue.

I will acknowledge your complaint within the required 30 working days then will investigate and report back with my findings and the resolution where relevant.

If you choose to initiate a GDPR related complaint to me in a post or comment on my social media channels I will contact you directly within the required 30 working days to ask for your email and phone number so we can discuss the matter away from the public forum in order to protect your privacy from that point.

You can also complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with how I have used your data.
