Terms and Conditions

Caker's Content Kitchen, a membership provided by The Cake Content Coach

These terms form the basis of the contract between the member and The Cake Content Coach. These Terms, together with any information provided at sign up, are considered by us to set out the whole agreement between you and us for your Caker's Content Kitchen membership. It is your responsibility to check your membership details are correct at sign up, as this is what we work to when granting access.

Basis of Membership

Any descriptions of the membership on our website, in emails, or on social media are issued to give you an accurate idea of what's included, but content within the membership may be added to, updated or refined over time as we improve the offer for members.

No contract is made with you until we have received your first payment. Once payment has been received you are in a legally binding contract with The Cake Content Coach for the membership tier and billing frequency you selected.

The Membership

We warrant that on joining, you will be granted access to the Caker's Content Kitchen membership as described at the point of sale, including access to the Recipe Pantry, the Sprinkle Shelf, the Live Oven, the Utensil Drawer and the Caker's Lounge Facebook group, in line with your chosen tier.

We do not guarantee specific business results, follower counts, engagement rates or bookings from using the membership content or attending live sessions. The strategies taught are based on what has worked for us and for other members, but results depend on your own effort, consistency and circumstances.

Content within the membership, including the C.A.K.E. Method, weekly content recipes, mini trainings, hooks and templates, is provided for your own personal use in growing your own cake business. It may not be shared, resold, redistributed or used to create a competing product or service.

Access and Availability

Membership access is provided through Squarespace member site and the Caker's Lounge Facebook group.

We aim to keep the membership site and community accessible at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, as this depends in part on third party platforms outside our control.

Live sessions take place fortnightly and are recorded and made available afterwards.

Ruth reserves the right to cancel LIVE sessions where there is less than 3 members available to attend, where possible these will be rescheduled.
The frequency of LIVES may be altered in future, in line with the development of member and their needs.

Annual Leave

Ruth will take up to 4 weeks of annual leave each year. Membership billing continues as normal during this period.

During annual leave, live sessions will not run, and support via the Facebook group and email will be slower than usual. All other membership content, including the Recipe Pantry, the Sprinkle Shelf and the Utensil Drawer, remains fully accessible throughout.

We'll give members advance notice of planned leave dates where possible.

Price and Payment

The price of your membership will be as set out at the point of sign up. Membership is billed either monthly or annually, depending on the plan you selected.

Payments are processed securely via Squarespace and Stripe

Cancellation and Minimum Term, Monthly Membership

The monthly Caker's Content Kitchen membership requires a minimum commitment of 3 consecutive monthly payments from your sign up date. Once this minimum term has been completed, you may cancel your membership at any time.

Cancellation takes effect from your next renewal date. You will retain full access to the membership until the end of your current paid period, and your membership will simply not renew beyond that date. No partial refunds are given for time remaining in a paid period.

For example, if you sign up on the 14th of the month and cancel on the 15th, once your minimum term has ended, you will keep access until the 13th of the following month, and no further payment will be taken.

Annual Membership Refunds

The annual membership is offered at a reduced rate equivalent to 10 monthly payments, in exchange for 12 months of access. The final 2 months of access are provided at no additional cost as a loyalty benefit for committing to the full year.

If you cancel your annual membership, any refund due will be calculated against the 10 months you have actually paid for, not the full 12 months of access granted. The refund will be the number of unused full months out of your paid 10, multiplied by the equivalent monthly rate at the time of sign up.

Once you have received more than 10 months of access, no refund will be due, as the remaining period was provided as a loyalty bonus rather than a paid term.

For example, if you cancel during your 8 months of access, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to 2 months, not 4, as the final 2 months of your annual term were never individually paid for.

Cooling Off Period, Digital Content

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you may ordinarily have a 14 day right to cancel a digital service without penalty from the date of purchase.

Because membership content is delivered digitally and provides immediate access upon payment, this cooling off period will not apply once you begin accessing membership content, provided you have expressly requested immediate access and confirmed that you understand you lose your right to cancel under these regulations once access begins.

At checkout, you will be asked to tick a box confirming this waiver before your purchase is completed. By doing so, you agree to immediate access to the membership and confirm you understand you are giving up your standard 14 day cancellation right in relation to this digital content, once you've started accessing it.

Community Conduct

Access to the Caker's Lounge Facebook group and any live sessions is a privilege of membership, not a guaranteed right. We reserve the right to remove any member from the group or live sessions, without refund, if they are abusive, disrespectful to other members or coaches, or share content that breaches these terms.

Named member results, testimonials or case studies shared publicly by The Cake Content Coach will only be used with the individual member's permission. But these may be used anonymously with no express permission, unless explicitly requested by the member.

We reserve the right to use screenshots of member wins, results or testimonials for marketing purposes.

Intellectual Property

The C.A.K.E. Method, all weekly content recipes, mini trainings, templates, hooks and any other original material provided within the membership remain the intellectual property of The Cake Content Coach. Members are licensed to use this material for their own business but may not teach it, repackage it or resell it as their own.

Complaints

If you have an issue with your membership, please contact us at ruth@cakecontentcoach.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 10 working days.

General Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. Where changes materially affect your membership, we will notify existing members by email in advance.
