Privacy Policy — Your Post Pantry
Last updated: 03.10.26
This privacy policy explains how Your Post Pantry ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use the app. Your Post Pantry is operated by Ruth Moore, trading as Cake Content Coach ("the data controller"). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at ruth@cakecontentcoach.com.
This policy covers the Your Post Pantry app only. The Creative Cake Club membership has its own separate privacy policy.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for the app is Ruth Moore, trading as Cake Content Coach. This means we are responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is used, and for keeping it safe. You can contact us about anything in this policy, including requests to access or delete your data, at ruth@cakecontentcoach.com.
What data we collect
When you use the app, we collect and store:
Account details: your name, email address and password (your password is stored securely and we cannot see it).
Your interview answers (your profile): the information you give us about your cake business, including your business name, location, the cakes and products you make, your prices, your ideal customer, your tone of voice, your format preferences, and anything else you choose to tell us.
Content you add: cakes you add to your cake bank (including photos, descriptions and dates), reviews you add, and any posts the app generates and saves for you.
Anything you type into the app: including post ideas and optional weekly focus notes.
We only collect what we need to generate content for you. We do not collect payment or card details through the app (see "Payment" below).
How we use your data
We use your data only to run the app and provide the service you've signed up for. Specifically:
To create your account and let you log in.
To generate social media posts written in your voice, using the profile and content you provide.
To save your generated posts so you can return to them.
To respond to you if you contact us for support.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Who your data is shared with
To provide the service, your data is processed by a small number of trusted third parties:
Supabase — stores your account, profile and content in a secure database. Supabase acts as our data processor.
Anthropic (Claude) — when you generate a post, the relevant parts of your profile and content are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to write the post. Anthropic processes this data to generate your content.
Lovable — the platform the app is built and hosted on.
Each of these processes your data on our behalf and under their own data protection terms. We share only what is necessary for the app to work. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Payment
Payment for your membership is handled separately through Squarespace Payments, as part of your Caker’s Content Kitchen membership, not through the app. The app does not collect, see or store any card or payment details. Payment data is covered by the Caker’s Content Kitchen privacy policy and by Squarespace's own privacy terms.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in the app's database (Supabase). Some of the third parties above may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on their data protection safeguards to keep your data protected to UK standards.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account (see below), your profile, cakes, reviews and saved posts are removed from the app. We may keep minimal records where we are legally required to.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct your data if it's wrong, you can edit this yourself in the app at any time.
Delete your data, you can delete your account and its data from within the app, or by contacting us.
Object to or restrict how we use your data.
Request a copy of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, use the options in the app or email ruth@cakecontentcoach.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your data secure. Access to your data is restricted so that you can only see your own, and your data is stored in a secure database with access controls in place.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know.
